February 29, 2024, was the most anticipated day after two days of tryouts. Our coach was finally going to announce the team members. Over 120 boys and 50 girls participated in the tryouts, but only a select few made it to the team. February 29 is a rare day, but for me, it became a precious one as I was selected for the team.

After three months of preparation and intense matches against our own team, it was finally time to see who would get selected to represent our school. It was a tough process, but in the end, the school coach chose me and eight other teammates to compete in the Badminton City Championships!

The City Championships were held at Walter Murray Collegiate, where more than fifteen schools sent their top athletes to compete in various categories: boys' singles, girls' singles, boys' doubles, girls' doubles, and mixed doubles.
